Because the ordinary lathe does not have the function of programming, it can not realize the automatic control of the tool head. Direct machining is not allowed when machining a sphere. The machining accuracy and precision of the inner spherical size by using the CNC machining center are higher. But for the number of small, large diameter of the inner sphere of the workpiece, to use large numerical control vertical turning, the cost is relatively high, but also there will be errors.

First,causes of errors in CNC vertical turning

When machining the sphere and surface, it is easy to produce convex shoulder and shovel back due to improper adjustment.

The main reasons are:
Caused by system clearance

In the transmission pair of equipment, there is a certain gap between the screw and the nut. With the increase of the operation time of the equipment, the gap increases gradually because of wear. Therefore, the corresponding gap compensation for the reverse movement is the main factor to overcome the shoulder produced on the machining surface. The clearance measurement usually adopts dial indicator measurement method, which needs to control the error. But it needs to be noted that the table and table rod should not extend too high and too long, because in the process of measurement because the cantilever is long, table seat easy to force movement, resulting in inaccurate counting, compensation value will also appear error.

Improper selection of cutting tools:

In cutting, the tool removes material through the main cutting edge. However, after the arc machining quadrant, the secondary cutting edge of the tool and the arc tangent, the secondary cutting edge may participate in the cutting. Therefore, when selecting or sharpening tools, the wedge Angle of the tool must be carefully considered.

Uneven machining allowance

In the process of realizing the design performance of parts, whether the machining allowance of the surface to be processed is uniform is also an important reason for whether the molding surface can meet the design requirements, because the machining allowance is not uniform,it is easy to cause the "duplicate" error. Therefore, the surface shape requirements of the parts, before forming should be as far as possible to achieve the processing allowance of uniform or through the processing of a surface method to achieve the design requirements.

Second,numerical control machining spherical error elimination method

In the process of machining the sphere and surface, the sphere may appear large in the middle and small in the two ends,or small in the middle and large in the two ends. At this time, the radius value of the sphere needs to be controlled. If it's larger in the middle and smaller at the ends, you need to increase the radius slightly. If it's smaller in the middle and larger at both ends, this will reduce the radius a little bit. Try to control the spherical error within 0.05mm.
